About my Photography.
I am a photographer who uses the arrangement of fruit, flowers and other inanimate objects to create unique Still Life Photographs that I hope will enhance your home or
office environment.
How I create my Images
I created my images by combining conflicting objects into a cohesive design. Then, with my studio lighting I try to emphasise the form and shape of the objects to create a mood for the arrangement as a whole.
Most of my still life images take a long time to create. Sometimes several days, even a week from having the original idea to finding the objects, then creating the arrangement and setting up any props that are needed, choosing a camera position and arranging the lighting.
All that before selecting the final image and then editing it in Photoshop until it is ready for printing.
During this time I will take many shots of the arrangement, sometimes moving items to totally new positions, other times moving an individual object only a few millimetres. When I think I have the final image I leave everything exactly as it is while viewing all the images on my computer screen.
This is when I hope to select the final image but often there isn’t one I am totally satisfied with. It may be the arrangement of the items or the lighting, even the camera position. Sometimes I decide to continue, other times I leave everything until after lunch or a cup of coffee, or even the next day.
Eventually I have an image that I’m happy to print and often it is totally different to the image that I had originally set out to create.
